NOTE - Free rod tips included with order.

The T100 is a fixed line Keiryu style rod designed to offer extended reach, big fish capability, and excellent perormance in medium to large rivers and lakes.

American Keiryu Rod

The T100 was designed by American anglers, for American anglers. It was thoroughly tested in lots of water throughout this country. It was engineered to catch trout, bass, and carp, delivering excellent performance across a variety of techniques.

Medium Action - The Sweet Spot

The T100 is a medium action rod, with an RFI value of 5.7. It combines the sensitivity and tip flexibility to feel the take, along with the backbone to set the hook and handle larger fish. It’s a superbly balanced approach that hits the sweet spot by fine-tuning the right combination of weight, sensitivity and strength.

As a Keiryu rod, it excels in delivering weighted presentations (including nymphs, artificials, or live bait) into deeper water, while providing for excellent drifts in rivers, streams or lakes. It does this very well, using a light line with 6X-5X tippet.

The Flex Kit

The FLEX Kit comes with both the Owner Yarn Marker rig and the excellent Kevlar Furled Line, giving you flexibility and variety in your fishing tactics. See more details below.

QUALITY

We back the T100 with a lieftime warranty, reflecting what we believe is the excellent quality of the product. The T100 is made of Japanese Intermediate Modulus (IM8 and IM7) carbon. IM is more expensive to make than regular carbon and results in a lighter, stronger, and more sensitive rod.  However, it is not simply a matter of higher IM being always better. The higher you go on the IM scale, the less durable & resilient the rod tends to become. With the T100, we opted for balanced approach that would provide the best combination of weight, sensitivity and strength. We ask this rod to do a lot, and we made tough enough to do it.

FISHING APPLICATIONS

  • Weighted bait

  • Nymphs / Euro Nymphing

  • Softbaits (e.g Nikko caddisfly larvae or hellgrammites) and Mini-jigs*

  • Dry or Wet flies (using the furled or pvc floating line)

*The mini-jig was something we admittedly had never tested. We've done quite a bit of testing with artificials (we are fond of the Nikko hellgrammites and caddisfly products) but had never really thought of using a mini-jig. When writer Fish Story Lori was testing our rod (she later wrote a great article about it in the Eastern Sierra Fishing Guide See Page 84), she called me one day to tell me they had just used the rod on a lake and caught several fish with it. I was certain they had used a bobber or marker rig with bait, but to my surprise Lori's husband, Tim, said he used a mini-jig.  "The flexible tip works great for jigging," he said. So go figure.
